Guide for Drawer Boxes

OVERVIEW
- The tolerances shown below need to be achieved for your drawer
box to fit properly per slide used.
|
STEP
A- Measure drawer opening and cabinet depth - record measurements
and go to step B
|
|
A
= Side clearance needed for drawer slides B = Top clearance needed for drawer slides C = Bottom clearance needed for drawer slides D = Cabinet Depth clearance needed for drawer slides |
W=
Width of Drawer Frame Opening H = Height of Drawer Frame Opening D = Depth of FRONT of Face Frame to inside rear of cabinet |
STEP
B - Subtract The below tolerances needed per the type of slides
you will be using THIS WILL BE YOUR FINAL BOX MEASUREMENT

W
= minus 1" H = minus 1/2" minimum D = minus 1" minumum |

EXAMPLE
|
STEP
A - W= 18" H= 6" D= 23"
Box Size would be W 17" x H 5-1/2" x D 22" |
STEP
A - W= 18" H= 6" D= 23"
Box Size would be W 17-1/2" x H 5" x D 22" |
NOTE:
Industry standard depth on drawer boxes is 22"
