Face Frame Measuring Guide

NOTE: There are many face frame configurations. Below is a sample of a face frame and guidlines for measuring a face frame.

A- From left to right measure overall length of frame jot this number down on your notepad

SW-Measure the width of each of your stiles (vertical frame members) jot these number down on your notepad

B - From left to right of the face frame measure the location of each Stile (vertical frame members) jot these numbers down on your notepad

NOTE: To double check your work - add the stile locations together PLUS the width of each stile this should equal the overall length of your frame

C - From top to bottom Measure overall height of face frame

RW-Measure the width of each of your rails (horizontal frame members) jot these number down on your notepad

D - From top to bottom measure the location of each each rail (horizontal frame members)

NOTE: To double check your work - add the rail locations together PLUS the width of each rail this should equal the overall length of your frame
