Overlay Drawer and False Front Measuring Guide

This guide
is for industry standard 1/2" overlay drawer / false front openings.
Measure all drawer / flase front openings to the nearest 1/8" and record
your measurements carefully on your note pad. Be sure to record your
measurements as width x height. For example, you may write down something
such as "width 18" x 6" height."

STEP A - Place your tape measure against the side of the drawer opening and measure all the way to the other side of the opening to the nearest 1/8". This will be your width opening Jot down the number on your paper. | |
STEP B - Place your tape measure against the top of the drawer opening and measure all the way down to the bottom of the opening to the nearest 1/8". This will be your height opening Jot down the number on your paper. | |
STEP C - Add 1 inch to both the height and width measurements. This will be your drawer front size when ordering and allows the drawer fronts to have an extra 1/2 inch of overlap on all sides. | |
